Structure of drying kiln equipment
Conventional drying kilns are generally composed of kiln body, kiln door (lifting device), heating system, humidity control system, airflow circulation system, intake and exhaust system, detection system, and control system.
1. Kiln body
In addition to meeting general building requirements such as durability, the kiln body of a drying kiln must also meet special requirements such as insulation, sealing, and corrosion prevention. Our company's series of drying kilns have two types: civil kiln body and metal kiln body. The civil kiln body is designed according to special requirements. The inner and outer wall panels of the metal kiln body are made of aluminum alloy plates, and the insulation material is made of centrifugal glass wool or rock wool. The columns and frames are made of special-shaped aluminum alloy profiles. Both civil and metal kiln bodies are well sealed, with sufficient insulation performance and resistance to corrosion.
2. Kiln door
There are three types of kiln doors: single door, double door, and hanging door. When building two or more connected kilns, hanging doors are usually used, and door lifting devices are required when using hanging doors. A special sealing ring with high temperature resistance, aging resistance and good elasticity is embedded around the kiln door.
3. Heating system
The main body of the heating system is the heater. The quality of the heater is not only related to its lifespan, but also to its heat transfer efficiency. The heater used by our company is a new type of composite integral rolled finned tube heater, with no wrinkles on the fins, low airflow resistance, high heat transfer efficiency, good corrosion resistance, and long service life. The comprehensive performance of this heater is greatly superior to the wound tube or series tube heaters used in China.
4. Humidity control system
Although the humidity control system is simple, it is very important to ensure the quality of wood drying. The spray evaporation pipeline of the humidity control system should try to avoid corrosion as much as possible. When using steam heating. Inject atmospheric saturated steam into the kiln; When high-temperature water is used for heating, saturated steam or atomized water is sprayed into the kiln.
5. Air circulation system
Air circulation is an important means to accelerate drying speed and ensure drying uniformity. To improve the sealing performance of the kiln and the reliability of the fan operation, our company adopts a high-temperature and moisture-proof motor installed together with the fan inside the kiln, with direct transmission.
6. Air intake and exhaust system
Our air intake and exhaust system is either automatically controlled or manually controlled. The dehumidification motor of the automatic control system is imported from Switzerland or South Korea and can achieve multi-level control. Both automatic and electric control operations are very convenient and the movements are very flexible.
7. Detection system
The detection system mainly refers to the detection of wood moisture content and the detection of medium temperature and humidity.
The detection of wood moisture content adopts the electrical measurement method, which can simultaneously measure the moisture content of 6 measuring points in the kiln. It is convenient and fast to use, with digital display, accurate and reliable readings.
The detection of medium humidity adopts the temperature difference method, and the device used is a dry and wet bulb thermometer. The detection of medium humidity is achieved by displaying the reading of the dry bulb thermometer in the above-mentioned device on the LCD display panel of the semi-automatic control instrument, which is accurate and reliable.
8. Control system
The process of wood drying is essentially a process of heat and moisture exchange between the drying medium and wood. Therefore, the control of the wood drying process is actually the control of the medium conditions. The media closely related to wood drying are mainly temperature, humidity, and cycling speed.
According to the needs, there are three types of control systems for drying equipment: semi-automatic, fully automatic, and manual control.
